My wife, Justine and I both grew up in central Illinois and while she was raised in Metamora, Tremont was my hometown. For eight years, after graduating from Western Illinois University, I, like my parents before me, had the privilege of serving my country in law-enforcement, as a sheriff’s deputy, specifically as a community officer with the Peoria County Sheriff’s Office. Though I loved serving my community in that capacity, the Lord began to awaken me to a different kind of service, one that would require stepping away from everything I knew and stepping faithfully into His calling.

In obedience, Justine and I, along with our three children, Liam, Logan, and Leena followed what appeared to be the Lord’s path, to attend Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary (MBTS). Our time there was nothing short of transformative and life-changing. The formal training we received in God’s word was not only helpful but essential, by equipping us for a lifetime of faithful ministry work. But just as meaningful were the friendships and ministry partnerships we formed. They are bonds that we know will last for years to come.

After receiving a Masters of Divinity Degree from MBTS, now, by God’s grace we are blessed to serve our church family here, at Carlock Bible Fellowship Church. Our prayer is a simple one: that each day the Lord gives us, we will serve Him faithfully by proclaiming Jesus as the divine Son of God, and to preach His word clearly and accurately, just as it is written in the Scriptures. We desire to fulfill the great commission and help cultivate a church family marked by the love of Jesus Christ, growth in sound doctrine, authentic generosity, and true biblical fellowship.
